We will travel from the Atlantic coast of Morocco to the border of the Sahara desert where we will view the sunset and sand dunes on camel back. In between, we will visit one of the world’s oldest cedar forests in the Atlas Mountains and feed the Barbary Macaque, a monkey native to North Africa. While in Fes, we will have lunch in the oldest walled part of the city, Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World heritage site and the largest car free urban area in the World. Fes is also the city where we will witness the Bedouin Wedding Ceremony.

Not only will we tour the country of Morocco and experience its diverse culture and geography, but also there will be Friendship Force activities in four cities and limited home stays in three areas. Several Friendship Force clubs are forming in Morocco; this visit will help them get a feel for Friendship Force activities. Our hosts from Friendship Force Azrou will be the major host community, as well as community friends in Rabat/Sale and Erford, at the border of the Sahara.
