Looking for ADVENTURE? Here is your opportunity! This spring, spend 15 days in North Africa exploring the sites and meeting the people of Morocco. On this exchange we will travel throughout the country and visit developing Friendship Force clubs.
We will tour the cities of Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Azrou and Marrakech. We will explore Kasbahs – a type of fortress, visit magnificent Mosques and even have dinner in “Rick’s Café” in Casablanca. We will travel from the Atlantic coast of Morocco to the border of the Sahara desert where we will view the sunset and sand dunes on camel back. In between, we will visit one of the world’s oldest cedar forests in the Atlas Mountains and feed the Barbary Macaque, a monkey native to North Africa. While in Fes, we will have lunch in the oldest walled part of the city, Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World heritage site and the largest car free urban area in the World. Fes is also the city where we will witness the Bedouin Wedding Ceremony.
Not only will we tour the country of Morocco and experience its diverse culture and geography, but also there will be Friendship Force activities in four cities and limited home stays in three areas. Several Friendship Force clubs are forming in Morocco; this visit will help them get a feel for Friendship Force activities. Our hosts from Friendship Force Azrou will be the major host community, as well as community friends in Rabat/Sale and Erford, at the border of the Sahara.

$2182.00 USD. Includes the FFI and host fees, tour costs, hotels, transportation, English speaking guide and almost all meals. Some other meals are provided by FF partners and during the home stays.

Egypt has been called the land where civilizations meet. On this exchange, you will encounter the ancient civilization of Egypt and experience the Modern Egypt that is changing every day.
You will travel to the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the National Museum of Pharaonic artifacts to experience the ancient Egyptian Civilization that has fascinated historians and travelers for centuries. To get a taste for modern Egypt, we will visit the Cairo Opera House, take a boat tour on the Nile River and attend the Bazaar.
To give you a more complete Egyptian experience, you will also have the opportunity to travel by bus to Alexandria on the coast, Tanta in the middle of the Nile Delta and see the rural countryside and villages of Egypt.
